The Mouton Cadet Bio Rouge is the first organically certified cuvée from the traditional Rothschild house. The grapes come 100 percent from organic plots and are harvested very carefully. Today, modern cellar technology ensures gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation, which is stopped after two to three days by adding wine distillate. Osborne White Port, made exclusively from white grapes, is left to ferment until a slight residual sugar content is reached before wine distillate is added, resulting in a light golden, delicately sweet aperitif port.The young wine is stored in the vineyards over the winter, and in the spring it is taken downstream to Vila Nova de Gaia, opposite Porto, where Osborne, like all famous port wine houses, has its "lodges". There the wine matures for three years in wooden barrels before bottling.Like most port wines, Osborne White Port is a cuvée made from wines from different locations and vintages, so that a consistent quality is achieved over the years.

This is what sets the port wine apart and gives it a higher alcohol and sugar content than normal wines. This tawny is then aged for at least 10 years. Like many other ports, this is a cuvée of different wines, from different locations and vintages, so that it continuously maintains its quality.
