From the papal court to the kings of France, from Balzac to Brillat-Savarin, it has always been believed that Tavel's rosé wines are among the best in France. Today, the Tavel appellation is classified as a cru site, like Châteauneuf-du-Pape or Gigondas. It is the only appellation in the Rhône Valley that produces exclusively rosé wines. Thanks to the lean terroir, the great heat and the character of the grape varieties involved, Tavel can be safely described as the king of rosés - and the M. Chapoutier Tavel AOC as the king of kings. It is of remarkable intensity and substance, glows an inviting raspberry pink and seduces with fresh, fruity aromas and a subtle mineral note. A typical Tavel - very dry and spicy - with the unmistakable Chapoutier signature. This Tavel also convinced the “Feinschmecker”, who named it Best Buy Rosé.

Magnificent Primitivo Riserva with 97 points A big brother is there when you need him. And so is this Riserva wine. It is the big brother of the popular Magnifico Fuoco Primitivo and with its maturity and powerful bouquet it is immediately on hand. Whether you are looking for the right accompaniment to an opulent dish or simply want to do something good for your wine rack: with this Riserva you will make a big impression, starting with the shiny exterior... Just like the red wax capsule, the bottle shape is reminiscent of the great Bordeaux wines of the last century. The gold-decorated label, on the other hand, refers directly to the sun of Apulia, which gives the Primitivo vines around the town of Manduria their strength. The vines find ideal conditions on the heel of the Italian boot. They take root in soils made of clay and limestone, while strong winds from the south quickly dry the grapes again after rainfall. Only healthy and fully ripe harvested grapes end up in the cellar and become this magnificent Primitivo di Manduria Riserva. A long mash fermentation gives the wine its deep, ruby red color and its wonderfully intense aroma. After fermentation, it is allowed to rest for 24 months, nine of which in wooden barrels. The result is a Primitivo Riserva with incomparably rich fruit and depth. Notes of dark berries, black cherries and fine spices invite you to enjoy it straight away. Ripe tannins and a particularly fine melt on the palate make the enjoyment complete. Luca Maroni awarded the 2018 vintage an impressive 97 points! And rightly so. Try this great Riserva and simply dream yourself to the south of Italy.

Lake Constance in pink The salmon-pink Bodensee Pinot Noir Rosé shines brightly. Thanks to the alpine region from which it comes, it has enjoyed many hours of sunshine, which help the grapes to ripen optimally. This allows the bouquet of the wine to develop well and shows hints of raspberries and strawberries. A fresh, fruity wine that is accompanied by a subtle spiciness. Perfect for summer and harmonious in combination with light dishes such as salads and fish. The terroir is very special due to the glacial influences in the soil and the intense sunlight, which is made possible thanks to the southern orientation of the slopes. The Markgraf von Baden winery knows how to optimally reflect the terroir influences in its Bodensee Pinot Noir Rosé. A special representative of the VDP. Estate wines from the hinterland of Lake Constance.

Nutty notes give the fruit potpourri an additional appeal. On the palate, the Bodensee Secco Rosé impresses with its fine balance of sparkling acidity and lovely fruit sweetness. By the way: Do you know the difference between Secco and sparkling wine? This lies in the way in which carbon dioxide is added. In the case of secco, carbon dioxide is added externally, whereas in sparkling wine the carbon dioxide is produced through the fermentation of the sugar “internally”, i.e. in the bottle.

Elegant Chardonnay from the Mosel When Markus Molitor took over his father's winery at just 20 years old, his vision was already very clear and ambitious: to help the Mosel regain its former glory with individual, site-specific and storable wines. Today we have to say: he has succeeded impressively! With his legendary Rieslings, Markus Molitor is considered one of the most important German wine ambassadors abroad. But the maestro is not only enthusiastic about Riesling. His Haus Klosterberg Chardonnay is so complex, fresh and typical of Molitor that one can only be amazed by the repertoire of its creator...The grapes for this premium Chardonnay are carefully picked by hand, ground and macerated on the berry skins for several hours. The must is then fermented slowly and coolly, allowing the natural fruit to fully develop. After fermentation, the wine is gently aged in wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks with long yeast storage. The result is a fruity, elegant and complex white wine that offers a distinctive taste experience. The nose is fruity and mineral at the same time and makes you want to take the first sip. The wine then presents itself very balanced, fresh and fine on the palate, where it reveals its elegant fruitiness, underpinned by fine tannins. After tasting it, we immediately agreed: Markus Molitor also masters the Chardonnay with flying colors! Enjoy this top wine on its own or combine it with salads, asparagus dishes or creamy soups.

The finest pink... ... in the bottle! The Metzger "Prachtstück" Rosé is a wonderfully fresh terrace wine from the Palatinate. Even in the glass, this wine shines as a strong rosé and presents itself on the nose with intense notes of melon, sweet cherries and a little apple compote. In the mouth, the taste is full of fruits such as strawberries and raspberries, rounded off by a pleasant, subtle residual sweetness. Bring summer into your wine fridge by the bottle with this rosé.Metzger - when you hear this name, you probably think of top-quality products, but wine? Ever since the Metzger family, whose ancestors ran arable and livestock farms, planted their Palatinate land with vines and father Uli filled one "prettiest piece" after another into the bottle, it has been clear: the Metzger also has great wines! His sense of self-irony, with which he quickly "wraps up" his family name and makes the ox his heraldic animal, is also not entirely innocent of his success.

Mouton Cadet in organic quality If you haven't had the Mouton Cadet in your glass yet, you should definitely try this famous Bordeaux wine. Especially in the organic version! The Mouton Cadet Bio Rouge is the first organically certified cuvée from the traditional Rothschild house. The grapes come 100 percent from organic plots and are harvested very carefully. After vinification, the wine rests for 16 months to harmonize its taste. It then shimmers in the glass in a deep, dark ruby red. The nose is invitingly fruity. Notes of fresh blackberries and blueberries follow on the palate. The fruit is accompanied by a fine spice and gentle tannins, which make the wine very round and glide over the tongue with a beautiful aftertaste. Completely sustainable - that is the overall concept of this Mouton Cadet. Sealed with a natural cork, the paper for the labels also comes from sustainable forestry. The bottle is made of recycled lightweight glass and the capsule is also the first of its kind to be recyclable. Organic and that's it. That's the motto of this wine. Portuguese master class The port city of Porto, located at the mouth of the Douro, gave its name to what is probably the most famous wine in the world. The wine, which has been highly prized in England since the middle of the 17th century, is shipped from there. Its growing area is about 100 kilometers upstream in the upper Douro valley. 80 different grape varieties thrive on heat-storing slate soils on the steep slopes, of which up to 40 varieties are approved for port wine production. Today, modern cellar technology ensures gentle pressing and temperature-controlled fermentation, which is stopped after two to three days by adding wine distillate. Osborne White Port, made exclusively from white grapes, is left to ferment until a slight residual sugar content is reached before wine distillate is added, resulting in a light golden, delicately sweet aperitif port. The young wine is stored in the vineyards over the winter, and in the spring it is taken downstream to Vila Nova de Gaia, opposite Porto, where Osborne, like all famous port wine houses, has its "lodges". There the wine matures for three years in wooden barrels before bottling.Like most port wines, Osborne White Port is a cuvée made from wines from different locations and vintages, so that a consistent quality is achieved over the years.
