The white from red grapes The "Eins zu Eins" Blanc de Noirs from Diehl is a dry rosé wine from the Palatinate with a good acid structure. It combines the best of red grapes in a white wine, and also has a rosé shimmer. Exotic hints of mango and passion fruit round it off elegantly. The delicate melting quality of the stimulating fruity acidity provides the right bite, and on the palate, traces of floral hay and subtle paprika add spice and backbone. A fine marzipan note creates a sophisticated aftertaste with great length. A wonderful tipple for convivial evenings. The varietal purity practiced by the Diehl couple in the beautiful southern Palatinate was reflected in a new categorization of the wines: "Eins zu Eins" stands for a harmonious relationship between the grape variety and its development. For these wines, it is crucial to acquire your own individual wine style and to constantly perfect it. With their "One to One" wines, the Diehl couple presents wine enjoyment typical of the grape variety at a premium level. Just like with the Blanc de Noirs: Unmistakably in a delicate salmon rosé, white and red currants form the basis of this slightly sparkling summer wine.

Pinot Blanc from Devon Slate It may come as a bit of a surprise that the world-famous Dr. Loosen Riesling winery also has a Pinot Blanc in its ranks. However, anyone who tries this wonderfully refreshing white wine will quickly be surprised and delighted. The stimulating, mouth-watering nature of this Pinot Blanc is simply mouth-watering! The sweaty work on the steep slopes is not noticeable in the finished wine. As everywhere on the Middle Moselle, the grapes for the Pinot Blanc are picked by hand and transported through the rows of vines in baskets. The vines grow on red Devon weathered rock and enjoy many hours of sunshine thanks to their exposed south-facing location. The high-quality harvest is carefully vinified in the cellar before maturing in large wooden barrels. In the glass, the Dr. Loosen Pinot Blanc is light yellow with green reflections. The nose is beguilingly fresh with exotic and local fruit notes such as grapefruit, apple and vineyard peach. The elegant minerality can also be clearly tasted, which also penetrates the palate. Here the wine is pleasantly gentle with a delicate acid structure and good substance. The mouthfeel is creamy and fresh at the same time. A harmonious play of sweetness and acidity and a solid length ultimately lead to the only conclusion: Dr. Loosen can also make Pinot Blanc. And how!

White wine JEWEL from Rheinhessen When people talk about a wine jewel, Riesling often has a hand in it. And that's the case here too. Rheinhessen winemaker Juliane Eller makes a brilliant estate wine from the flagship white grape variety. She and her team pick the grapes by hand from selected vineyards around the community of Alsheim. The trained oenologist then takes the utmost care in the cellar, where the harvest is carefully processed. Juliane then matures the wine in steel tanks so that the fresh fruit of the Riesling is bottled as unadulterated as possible. The bouquet of the JUWEL Riesling already matches the elegant bottle design. A fine scent of peach and fresh lime wafts from the glass. On the palate, the wine then reveals itself with great juiciness and a delicate interplay of sweetness and acidity. A Riesling that is simply fun. And that's true - thanks to the moderate alcohol content - even with the second bottle. At just 23 years old, Juliane Eller took over her parents' winery and turned it completely upside down after taking over. Away from the original machinery and towards manual work, the vines were reduced to the five main grape varieties and only dry wines are produced. For Juliane Eller, the grapes are like precious stones that only become JEWELS when cut correctly.

Sparkling, fresh secco from Lake Constance Now it's sparkling! We're diving into the freshness of Lake Constance: The Markgraf von Baden winery proves with its secco series that it is not only capable of producing excellent still wines from its grapes. The fine sparkling wines come from the vineyards in the hinterland of Lake Constance, as the label also reveals... The "Secco White" is a cuvée of Bacchus and Müller-Thurgau. Together, the varieties make the ideal drink for toasting: aromatic, fruity, fresh. This secco is excellent as an ice-cold aperitif. You don't have to wait long for a suitable occasion - the secco itself is one! By the way: do you know the difference between secco and sparkling wine? This lies in the way carbon dioxide is added. In the case of secco, carbon dioxide is added externally, whereas in the case of sparkling wine, the carbon dioxide is produced “internally”, i.e. in the bottle, through the fermentation of the sugar.

Elegant Chardonnay from the Mosel When Markus Molitor took over his father's winery at just 20 years old, his vision was already very clear and ambitious: to help the Mosel regain its former glory with individual, site-specific and storable wines. Today we have to say: he has succeeded impressively! With his legendary Rieslings, Markus Molitor is considered one of the most important German wine ambassadors abroad. But the maestro is not only enthusiastic about Riesling. His Haus Klosterberg Chardonnay is so complex, fresh and typical of Molitor that one can only be amazed by the repertoire of its creator...The grapes for this premium Chardonnay are carefully picked by hand, ground and macerated on the berry skins for several hours. The must is then fermented slowly and coolly, allowing the natural fruit to fully develop. After fermentation, the wine is gently aged in wooden barrels and stainless steel tanks with long yeast storage. The result is a fruity, elegant and complex white wine that offers a distinctive taste experience. The nose is fruity and mineral at the same time and makes you want to take the first sip. The wine then presents itself very balanced, fresh and fine on the palate, where it reveals its elegant fruitiness, underpinned by fine tannins. After tasting it, we immediately agreed: Markus Molitor also masters the Chardonnay with flying colors! Enjoy this top wine on its own or combine it with salads, asparagus dishes or creamy soups.

Lively Blanc de Noirs After just one sip of this lively Blanc de Noirs, you will definitely want more. The delicate interplay of intense, full fruit aromas and fragrant, tart accents that emerge from this shimmering rosé wine is too tempting. With hints of juicy melon, sweet cherries, tender strawberries and a little apple compote, it flatters the mouth and palate. The subtle, yet very lively acidity rounds off the animating character of the Metzger Blanc de Noirs. A delicacy that is simply fun on any occasion. See for yourself! Bottling a good wine is part of every winemaker's duty. But after the duty comes the freestyle and these days that also means looking good. The winemaker Uli Metzger from the Palatinate masters the compulsory part with flying colors. He quickly "wrapped up" his family name with a lot of self-irony and subtlety and made the ox his heraldic animal. This creativity immediately aroused our interest! The wine he provided us with is of fabulous quality at a reasonable price and has a wonderful drinkability. Just order it and try it!

...as an aperitif, the star among champagnes! Piper-Heidsieck Brut Champagne is a finely sparkling wine with a fresh finish. This highly decorated masterpiece captivates with its clear, golden color, an enchanting taste of pear, apple and star fruit and a spectacular aftertaste. This Brut Champagne is made from the three grape varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. The glorious history of the Piper-Heidsieck champagne house began in 1785 with the bold vision of a native of Westphalia. Florenz-Ludwig Heidsieck had nothing less in mind than to produce a champagne worthy of a queen. Nothing has changed to this day. The company, which is still family-run, is part of the select circle of Grandes Marques de Champagne and is one of the most famous champagne brands in the world. Cellar master Régis Camus also contributed significantly to this success. In 2013, he was named “Sparkling Wine Maker of the Year” for the eighth time in a row at the International Wine Challenge in London. An achievement that is unparalleled in the wine world.

Winemaking craftsmanship at the highest level What an impressive bouquet, what an elegant body and what a great Riesling! The Robert Weil Rheingau Riesling Kabinett is a masterpiece from the hands of a very experienced winemaking family who express their passion and knowledge in every bottle. The Robert Weil winery looks back on a long history. Yes, that's what the Rheingau tastes like! Anyone who has ever had the Robert Weil Rheingau Riesling in their glass will know why this 30-kilometer-long freak of nature, through which the Rhine is briefly interrupted in its north-south course and meanders from east to west, is so famous for its Rieslings. With the Taunus at your back and the sun in front of you, everything that the king of grape varieties loves comes together here. In the case of the Weil Riesling, this also includes the excellent locations around the town of Kiedrich and the great know-how of Robert Weil. Produced organically and selected with the greatest care, only perfectly healthy and fully ripe Riesling grapes make it to the press. After spontaneous fermentation with the yeasts of the vineyard and a short mash, a gentle fermentation in stainless steel tanks follows. But wait: a small part of around ten percent is aged in large wooden barrels. This gives this fine Riesling a little more structure. In the glass, the Robert Weil Rheingau Riesling shimmers in a light yellow. Its fruit is crystal clear and juicy, yet ripe and so typical of the Rheingau, the Riesling and Robert Weil. Granny Smith apple and vineyard peach as well as mineral notes characterize the aroma. That brings joy! This white wine also presents itself as a unified whole on the palate, is incredibly slim and taut thanks to the fine acidity, and is also very juicy and balanced. Simply a must for Riesling fans!

Sicily sends rays of sunshine The Settesoli Grillo Appassimento is one of the first Appassimento wines on the German market and is therefore right on trend. In this special process, the grapes are left on the vine to dry naturally and are not harvested until late September or early October. This gives them their characteristic aromas. The Cantine Settesoli was founded in Menfi, a city steeped in history. To the west, you can see the historic ruins of Selinunte, the old Greek city. The Settesoli headquarters itself is on a gentle slope by the sea. This good location, combined with the mild climate, also forms the basis for the characteristic wines. The grapes benefit from the light-flooded environment and the warm sun.
